- Screen Capture (Media Projection): We use the foreground service permission for media projection solely to capture screen content when you book a ticket through the IRCTC Rail Connect app (e.g., to decode and auto-fill CAPTCHAs). The captured information is processed ephemerally and never stored or shared with any third party.
- Accessibility Service: Used exclusively to automate the IRCTC Rail Connect app for ticket booking to streamline the UI. We do not collect, store, or share sensitive personal data obtained through Accessibility Services.
- OAuth Login (Google and Facebook): When you log in, we collect your name, email address, and profile information for account identification and personalization. This data is not shared externally.
- Advertising ID: Your device's Advertising ID is used to deliver personalized advertising. You can reset or disable this via device settings.
Booking Details Collected
When you book a ticket, we collect the following details for tracking and analytics: From Station, To Station, Travel Class, Train Number, Train Quota, Payment method name, Mobile number provided, Booking status, and Device ID.
How Do We Use The Information?
The information we collect may be used in the following ways:
- To personalize your experience and improve our app based on your feedback.
- To improve customer service and effectively respond to your support needs.
- To process transactions, administer features, and send periodic emails regarding updates or your order.
Do We Share The Information We Collect?
Although we share general information for analytics and advertising purposes (e.g., Advertising ID), we explicitly do not share personal information collected through OAuth login, user account data, media projection screen capture data, or Accessibility Services data with any third parties.
